But did you know we have our own ski mountain just minutes outside of town here in Leadville? Ski Cooper offers world-class Colorado skiing without the high prices and crowds of the big resorts.
Come bike in Leadville! Whether you like riding on the road, trail, or even the snow, we have it all. Leadville, with its endless miles of trails and open roads, is an ideal place for bike enthusiasts. Ever been on a snowmobile adventure? Check out the Leadville backcountry in a whole new way! Take a guided tour of some of the most beautiful scenery the high country has to offer, or go out and create your own adventure. Check out White Mountain Tours just a few miles north of town. Museums, Tours, and More
Leadville’s loaded with hours of education and entertainment for any history buff. Purchase a museum passport at the Chamber of Commerce so you can see firsthand all the rich history our city has to offer. The passport is valid from Memorial Day through Labor Day and is good for all of these wonderful historic places: Healy House and Dexter Cabin; Heritage Museum; National Mining Hall of Fame and Matchless Mine; House with the Eye; Temple Israel; Tabor Home; and Tabor Opera House.
Also check out the Leadville, Colorado & Southern Railroad, which offers a 2.5-hour tour of some of the most beautiful scenery that the Rockies have to offer. Daily trips are available from May to October.
