Leadville, most known for its mining history, offers endless hours of education and entertainment to any history buff. But our mining past is not all our town has to offer for a history enthusiast! Purchase a museum passport at the Chamber of commerce so you can see first hand all the rich history that Leadville has to offer. The passport is valid from Memorial Day through Labor Day and is good for all of these wonderful historic places: Healy House and Dexter Cabin; Heritage Museum; National Mining Hall of Fame and Matchless Mine; House with the Eye; Temple Israel; Tabor Home and Tabor Opera House.
Also check out the Leadville, Colorado & Southern Railroad that offers an amazing 2.5 hour tour of some of the most beautiful scenery that the rockies has to offer. Daily trips are available from May to October!
